The degree is intended for students interested in pursuing careers in criminal justice, either immediately after obtaining the baccalaureate degree, or after graduate school.
Criminal Justice at Penn State
Criminal justice majors at Penn State go by various names. At Greater Allegheny, students can complete either a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in administration of justice. The criminal justice course requirements are the same for the B.A. and B.S. degrees. The difference is that students in the B.A. also study a second language and additional arts, sciences, social sciences, and cultures courses, whereas students in the B.S. complete a concentration of other courses in consultation with their adviser.
