Penn State Greater Allegheny incorporates an education abroad opportunity into class curricula. The most recent trip was Spring 2012 to Vietnam. Spring 2008 featured a trip to Ireland. Previous trips included Spring 2008 to Ireland, Spring 2007 to Paris, Spring 2006 to Cannes, Spring 2005 to Puerto Rico, Spring 2004 to Wales and Great Britain, and Spring 2003 to Paris and Normandy.
The international experience is meant to expand the horizons of the participating students and increase the student's understanding of what is involved in foreign travel. Trips are also meant to create a broader perspective and acceptance of others as students are exposed to a different culture. Penn State Greater Allegheny continues to emphasize international and Education Abroad experiences for its students.
