An adult learner is 24 years of age or older; or a veteran of the armed services; or a person returning to school after four or more years of employment, homemaking, or other activity; or a person who assumes multiple adult roles such as parent, spouse/partner, employee, and student.
Our campus offers seven bachelor's degrees that can be completed at Penn State Greater Allegheny, along with the first two years of most of Penn State's 160-plus majors as well as associate degrees. Adult learners may enroll as part-time or full-time students and can choose from day and evening classes. Numerous certificate programs are also available.

Academic Support and Tutoring -- The Gruskin Learning Center offers free professional tutors with both day and evening hours. Research assistance is available seven days a week in the Kelly Library to help students access information.
Career Services -- The Coordinator provides comprehensive resources to help students, from choosing a career; to finding an internship; to applying for a job; to changing to a new career. To make you more "marketable," the Career Services Office holds workshops on resume and cover letter writing, and helps prepare you for job fairs and interviews.
Parking -- The campus provides plenty of free parking.
Technology -- Students have free E-mail accounts and Internet access. Penn State Greater Allegheny is 100% wireless. The Computer Center provides free printing and assistance seven days a week.
Fitness and Cultural Center -- A Penn State ID is the ticket for free admission. The center is a 4,000 square-foot facility housing state-of-the-art fitness equipment. and is open seven days a week. See the Fitness Center!
