SAT or ACT scores will be waived for adult applicants who have been out of high school five or more years or veterans who have served in the military four years with an honorable discharge. In addition, we will review each applicant's high school coursework and/or GED individually as we consider you for admission.
Transfer studentsApplicants who have completed the equivalent of 18 semester hours of credit (approximately 27 quarter hours) after graduation from high school are considered for admission based upon their performance at the collegiate level. Transfer applicants must also meet, either through courses in high school or college level equivalents, the basic high school subject requirements for admission.

- Transfer admission to Penn State Greater Allegheny is possible after applicants have completed 18 semester hours of credit. Most programs require a minimum grade point average of 2.0 although programs in education, engineering and the sciences typically require a cumulative average of at least a 2.5. Certain programs may also require the completion of prerequisite courses. Some programs may not be available to transfer students.
