Margaret Signorella, professor of psychology and women’s studies at Penn State Greater Allegheny, has been awarded fellow status in the American Psychological Association (APA.) This designation recognizes Signorella’s outstanding contributions in the field of psychology and to Division 35 (Psychology of Women).

Much of Signorella’s research has focused on the development and consequences of gender stereotyping. She is currently an associate editor for Sex Roles, and is co-editing a special issue of that journal on single-sex education.
